Some problems right now...

So... I don't know what happened but this site was totally fine yesterday but today there was some very strange issues. I was able to talk with Night about it in the chat, the chat worked just fine. She had none of these following issues so this is currently a very strange problem with just me, here goes.

I can't post anything (strangely the site is fine when I am using a proxy server like right now, so it has to be something related to the IP-address maybe...)

The normal box where we put the text for what we are gonna post still looks normal and I can put text in it but none of the tools above don't work. There is also a small grey box above it where text can be added too strangely. But if I try to edit an older post, all the text that I have written is inside the small grey box instead of the normal writing area. And the grey box is too small for me to get to a specific area of my text.

The best part of this problem is that if I disable my adblock the whole site becomes unbearable. No matter where I click I am redirected to some other super weird site. Also all the adds in the page won't be where they should be, mostly they suddenly get in the way of other links.

And yeah, it seems that this has only happened to me so far... Unsure what causes the problem, I have been trying my best to search for a solution but in vain but I will keep searching. But if I can't find a way to fix this or the problem doesn't go away I fear the worst...

Note for all who are having issues with the tools you can simply input the code by hand. It is not to hard for something like spoilers and colors. As for what is up I honestly have no idea. I cant find anything wrong or different in the admin panel which leads me to believe it must be something on the server end or your own end. I apologize but this is all the info I have as I poke around.

Well it is a strange problem, and yes we can put spoilers and such by hands, no problem there. But like I said the site works just fine when I am using a proxy server that hides my own IP-address and puts some other IP-address there. I'll still try to find the fix for this but in the mean time I'll use a proxy server to handle the big things.

Hmm I have banned no Ip's so maybe it is aforumotion reacting to an ip? Idk sighs I need to fix this some way as the admin but it frustrates me not being able to figure out why it works fine and does nto work fine at the same time

It is. Everything I look at and do says everything is fine yet from what you report it is obviously not fine. I feel like I am facing a paradox.

You don't say, but something is a miss though. And like I said I will keep searching for a possible solution, it only reacts to my IP and I can't even understand how all of this is related. And note I have a decree in Information Technology and the job I am going to do is about coding webpages. Though, as far as my digging into this sites coding goes, there seems to be several problems when I don't get resources... I have no kind of professional stuff in tech. I only made this site from a previously provided template by the server. I have never messed with coding beyond adding pictures to the site setting up the portal and adding forums and threads to it. Everything you just said to me is basically greek.

I know Night, and I am very well aware of this sites nature and that you are no coder. But that is literally what I have gotten out from this so far, I have no idea why the resources won't load and why jquery doesn't work for me. It is most strange... So there is sadly nothing you can do. If I get lucky, maybe this problem will solve on its own, if not then I'll just keep searching.

Ok I just dont like it even if this paradox is only affecting one that is one member of my forum that is affected. I dont like it and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth and in the end it frustrates me being able to do nothing.

I can understand that, but chill for now okay? I am still able to use the site normally through the proxy server so don't bother your head with this for now. I'll just do my posts through the proxy server that is all...

Okay, an interesting thing... As expected, this problem is present in other forums done in forumotion (the sites kinda blew up on my hands the moment I put adblock away). I also went to a site that teaches jquery coding and tried some of its things. The moment I disabled adblock the attack of "whatever you click we redirect you to a completely weird site" happens. So the problem has a connection only between me and jquery at the moment, which is still weird by the way, I don't know what could cause such thing...

Okay, so the "whatever you click we redirect you to a completely weird site" problem is now fixed, I am writing this with adblock being disabled and everything is fine and dandy. It was a sneaky virus on my browser but thankfully my antivirus program got rid of it. However, the problems with posting have not yet been solved unfortunately but at least the redirecting stopped and the adds in this site don't go haywire anymore so a bit fo good news still.

The only problem that remains is this: TypeError: Cannot set property 'contentEditable' of undefined(…) So... I wonder how contentEdible can be fixed...

So yay I was right that at least part of it was a virus in the browser or a change to it

Ok np it seems to have something to do with Java which is what you keep saying is part of the code you are having an issue with so hopefully what I links helps

Okay, so the problem is now fixed! Thank God!!! This took the whole day... Anyway, unsure what could have caused this in the first place but resetting my browser seemed to help... I'm happy again! And if this happens to anybody else, I think I can help with that. Okay, case closed anyone, time to return to the hum-drum day to day.
